STAFFORDSHIRE Shire Horse Association is holding its second annual show tomorrow.

The event, at Amerton Farm on the A518 between Uttoxeter and Stafford, will open to the public from 11am.

As well as judging classes for Shire horses, there will be attractions for all ages including a falconry display, a vintage tractor club display, a sheep shearing demonstration and horseback rides.

Judging will start at midday.

The association was formed three years ago and each year it has gone from strength to strength by attracting new members – both people who own shire horses and those who simply like them.

The group's main aim is to promote the shire breed in Staffordshire and to bring the horse to members of the public who would normally have had no contact with them.

The group makes regular charity donations to its chosen charity The County Air Ambulance.
