Sensory sessions for tots
ALL LIGHT NOW: Parents are being invited to take their children along to sessions in a new sensory room.
The room at Kidsgrove Children's Centre, based at Maryhill Primary School, has been kitted out with items such as lights and musical instruments.
Now sessions are being held to teach parents how to use the equipment.
Frances Donkin, who runs the music and singing class company Rhythm Time in Cheshire and North Staffordshire, is running the events each Tuesday morning.
She said: "There are lots of touchg and visual experiences that make it a rich and varied experience for all the senses.
"The sensory room is fully-equipped but people don't know how to use it."
The 20-minute sessions, which also include songs and rhymes, run at the Gloucester Road centre, in Kidsgrove, between 9am and 10.30am.
They are open to anyone and people can just turn up on the day.
