Seddon seals golden deal worth £10m
A FENTON painting and maintenance firm has landed a new contract worth about £10 million.
Golden Lane Housing (GLH), which provides supported housing for people with learning disabilities, has handed Seddon Property Services a five-year deal.
It comes just days after sister firm, Seddon Construction, picked up a £60 million contract to build 700 new affordable homes, as reported in last week's Sentinel.
Seddon Property Services will be providing maintenance and out-of-hours repairs for GLH's residential properties, care homes and respite homes.

GLH was established by Mencap and works in partnership with the charity to provide supported housing for people with a learning disability.
Seddon Property Services director, Chris Walford, said: "We have been working with GLH and Mencap since 2007 and are delighted to be continuing that relationship through the award of this brand-new contract, which will significantly extend our work for the organisations."
Seddon Property Services, which employs around 150 people at its Duke Street base, is part of the Holmes Chapel-based Seddon Group, which specialises in building, painting and maintenance.
