Scientific study for youngsters
TEENAGERS will be examining fossils and bones, building molecules and exploring the scientific jobs of the future as part of a children's conference.
The event takes place tomorrow at Keele University and is aimed at youngsters aged 14 and 15 from schools across the area. They will gain an insight into university life and will also be delving into the fascinating world of science.
The scientific theme has been picked to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the Royal Society and the youngsters will find out more about some of the society's past and present members. They will also analyse the work of Charles Darwin during the day.
The conference is the third to be organised by Keele University's widening participation and lifelong learning division, which does outreach work with local schools and colleges.
