A SCHOOL will celebrate its 40th birthday with a fund-raising black tie ball.

Baldwins Gate Primary School will mark its anniversary with the event in the ballroom at Keele Hall from 7pm on Saturday, May 9.

Parents and friends have been invited to join former pupils and teachers, with proceeds going to the PTA.

Co-organiser Judith Taylor said: "We are keen to reach past pupils, parents and teachers, but it is also open to anyone who wants to support the school."

The event is for over 18s.
