School hat day raises Haiti funds
LEAVE YOUR HAT ON: Children came up with some wild and wonderful designs when they were challenged to make hats for a fund-raising day at their school.
Virtually all 129 pupils at St Werburgh's Primary School, in Kingsley, took part in the Hats On For Haiti Day and staff also joined in with the fun yesterday.

The most imaginative design was a hat featuring a model of the school on top of it. There were also riding helmets with coloured wigs, football-related creations, and hats which featured the Red Cross symbol.
The event was organised by the school council and children raised £210 for the Haiti disaster appeal fund.
Headteacher Jared Eccles said: "It was impressive that they knew what was going on in Haiti and they wanted to offer their support."
Pictured are Eve Reynolds, left, and Enya Williams, both aged nine.
