TOP MARK: A small rural primary school has received a glowing report from inspectors, who also praised the behaviour of pupils.

Faber RC School at Cotton near Cheadle was also praised for its improved standards of teaching.

Headteacher Alexandra Beardmore said: "The school has been through a lot of change over the last couple of years which has led to improved standards in all areas.

"The school is small and welcoming like one big, happy family."
