REVELLERS who suffered sickness and diarrhoea after a wedding reception must wait until Friday for health experts to reveal why they were taken ill.

Fifteen guests at the function at JCB's Lakeside club in Rocester needed help from paramedics after being struck down.

Three of them were taken to hospital and a further four called 999 for advice after arriving home.

The wedding party hired the Station Road club from the digger-maker and brought in private caterers.

Experts from the Health Protection Agency took samples from the victims following the outbreak on Friday night. A spokesman said: "The samples are now being analysed at our laboratories and we should have the results by Friday to see if it gives us any pointers to what caused the illness."
