To Russia with love from pub
A CONCERT has been organised to raise money for orphans in Russia.
Record shop owner Robert Barrs is staging the event at the Old Brown Jug pub in Newcastle.

Four bands will be playing throughout the evening of November 6 and the 35-year-old has also lined up two Northern Soul DJs.
Robert, who runs Rubber Soul Records in Stoke, said: "I send money to an orphanage in Russia every month and support it as much as I can through my business.

"The event is about raising more money for it but also about raising awareness of their situation."
Proceeds from the event will go to Ascent Russian Orphan Aid Foundation, which sends food, clothing and shelter to orphans and homeless children living in the former Soviet Bloc countries.
A proportion of the money raised will go to victims of the Pakistan floods.
Those due on stage include The Kirkland Turn, Jemma Johnson, Kevin Day and Junction 17.
Tickets for the event cost £3 and are available from Rubber Soul Records, in Hide Street, or at the pub on the night.
The event starts at 7pm.
