Statue tribute to Port Vale legend Roy Sproson to be unveiled
AN 11-year dream to pay tribute to Port Vale legend Roy Sproson will come to fruition today.
Sproson, who made a record 837 starts for the club, will have a statue unveiled in his honour by his widow, Joyce, and other family members at 1.45pm.

The Roy Sproson statue will be unveiled today.
Fans are also being urged to pay a noisy tribute to Sproson during today's game against York City.
They have been asked to take part in a minute's applause eight minutes and 37 seconds into the game, reflecting Sproson's record.
