SINGER Robbie Williams is set to rejoin his former band Take That, it was reported today.

The 35-year-old Angels star is quoted in a national newspaper as saying he was in contact with his former band mates and a reunion was on the cards.

"I'm in regular contact with them and it's looking more likely by the week. The lads all seem up for it. I think it would be fun," Robbie is reported to have said.

"Let's see what happens, but my head's in the right place, so the timing could be right if Gary calls. I think it would be fun. It would be good."

Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Gary Barlow – who Robbie is believed to have fallen out with before he quit Take That – split the band in 1996 a year after Robbie left.

But in 2005 they reformed and have since sold more than six million albums and scored number one hits with Patience and Shine.

Robbie, who had been living in Los Angeles, recently returned to live in the UK.

On Wednesday, Robbie set flashbulbs popping after turning up to watch Jonathan perform in a hit musical.

Robbie was in Manchester for the opening night of We Will Rock You, the popular show based on the songs of rock legends Queen. Jonathan is starring in the show, which is embarking on a UK tour opening at the Palace Theatre.

“im so suprised (no offence!) at the number of men writing comments on here.

Im a MASSIVE TAKE THAT fan. love them. been to see them and got their albums. i know everything about them.lol

I loved them back in the day.

I loved Robbie when he was out and when Ive come updone came on yesterday, I thought - this is a really good song actually. Credit where credit due.

It would be nice to see them sing together as a one off to show that they are friends. When the documentry came on about 3 years ago (which set them off again) they were so disappointed that he didnt want to go to the reunion.

As far as joining them on dates etc / tracks - I dont think that its a good idea. They are fine on their own and dont need a personality like Robbie to come in - the others are quite mellow.

    lets see, should be interesting...”

“Andy, it's grammar not grammer and "their" means belonging to and "there" means as in pointing to or going to a place and should not be used by way of possession...now that's out of the way, Warren is dyslexic as was pointed out sometime ago. However, as this is about Gary Barlow...Warren, you want your legs slapping, Gary's making making money in this miserable economy, give him some support you naughty bunny. :)”

“Some of you are getting confused the amount of albums sold id no indication of talent! Robbie's albums are sold to teenage girls and people from Stoke who foolishly think they need to support him. Anthony from Mount Pleasant how you can even mention Robbie Williams and John Lennon in the same sentence is just unbeleivable. Gary Barlow is far more talented than Williams and Barlow is nowhere near the talent of Lennon!! Robbie is trying anything to get himself in the press and if I was Gary Barlow at the moment there would be no way I would make that call in fact I would change my number just incase Robbie tried to call!!! Robbie should go back to chasing UFOs in LA”

“Warren,You need to change your medication mate,I can't believe you are backing that useless excuse for a singer(robbie),He could not lace
G barlows boots as a song writer. The only reason he is desperate to get back with T.T.
is because he bombed so well in the USA.Now he is just as much a non entity here as he is there. He needs T.T to get him back into the spotlight.”

“Warren people like you make me laugh sitting their slaggin talented people of. Gary can't be that rubbish else he wouldn't be a millionaire thanks to Take That (all the song writting) and his tallent for song writting. What have you done?? As for climbing the mountain - good on them. They did it. Did you do anything for comic relief? If they were so rubbish then their albums would not get to number one or they wouldn't have a number of sell out tours. So I suggest you stop being so jealous and keep your crap opinions to yourself. It would be brill for Robbie to re-join take that. Go for it Rob.”
