POLICE want to hear from anyone who witnessed a cyclist collide with a tow rope being used to pull a van.

The rider suffered a dislocated shoulder in the accident, which involved a dark-coloured 4X4 towing a white van on Porthill Bank at 4.45pm on Wednesday.

The 4X4 pulled out of First Avenue onto Porthill Bank, turning left towards the A500, when the cyclist was in collision with the tow rope.

The vehicle stopped but left the scene before police arrived. The cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment.
