Residents at care home are 'clean and tidy'
INSPECTORS have praised standards at a care home – but called for more daily activities to be laid on.
Residents at the 60-room Park Hall home, in Ubberley Road, Bentilee, told visitors how much they liked living at the property.
The home was visited by Stoke-on-Trent Local Involvement Network (LINk) which reported good interaction between staff and residents and that the food was "excellent".
The LINk report of the April 3 visit said: "The residents all looked clean, tidy, neatly dressed, well cared for and comfortable.

"They have a key to their own bedroom which gives them privacy but staff can gain quick access if necessary."
It concluded: "Park Hall has a high standard of decoration, furnishings and flooring, providing a safe and comfortable environment, with adequate space to safely walk round both inside and out. There is a pleasant rapport between residents and staff and a reasonable choice of food.
"But more scope is needed for regular daily activities such as gentle exercise and the employment of an activities co-ordinator may help."
One resident told the team: "I can't fault any part of it. The food is excellent, staff wonderful and there are activities if you want them."
