Report lights still flashing
PEOPLE are being urged to contact the council if they see any Christmas lights still switched on.
A number of people have already complained about the decorations remaining lit up across Stoke-on-Trent, citing a waste of electricity as their main cause of concern.

LARGE SCALE OPERATION: Councillor Adrian Knapper.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is assuring residents the lights are being taken down, but is asking to be contacted if any are still being switched on in the meantime.
Councillor Adrian Knapper, portfolio holder for regeneration and economic development, said: "We start to take down the Christmas lights on January 6, and it takes around two-and-a-half weeks to remove them all due to the sheer size and scale of the operation. We have switched off the decorations so that they are ready to be taken down.
"However, if anyone is aware of Christmas lights still coming on we would urge them to get in touch."
The city council is on 0800 3287709.

“How about also reporting the fact most of the decorations in Stoke-On-Trent are about 12 thousand years old and an embarrassment to the area.”
