BRUSHING UP: College students and staff will showcase their skills as part of next week's Cheshire Show.

The stand by Nantwich's Reaseheath College will offer spectators the chance to have a go at activities including scaling a climbing wall, riding a mechanical horse and sampling green ice cream.

There will also be a range of domestic and exotic pets from the college's animal management department, while engineers will rebuild an engine and countryside students create bird boxes. Bricklayers and joiners will also demonstrate their skills.

The show, at Tabley, near Knutsford, on Tuesday and Wednesday, is one of Britain's biggest and most popular agricultural events.

Pictured at Reaseheath College is Emma Hunt, from the animal management course, from Stoke, preparing Honey, a long-haired guinea pig, for the show.
