S ET on a corner plot this end terrace has been recently revamped and is in a very good condition. The property at 33, Emberton Street, Chesterton, is ideally placed for tenants wanting good links to either Keele University or the hospitals and is in an area where there are good schools.

Currently unoccupied, estate agent Rob Norton, of Goodchilds, says it has previously been rented out at £575 pcm.

Given that it is on the market for offers above £100,000 this looks like a good rate of return and will make it an attractive proposition for investor landlords.

However, it will be equally attractive as a ready-to-move-into family home. Set on a big corner plot the house is in obviously good condition and has had some recent work done on it.

Off the light entrance hallway is a large lounge/diner some 21 feet long and with a nice feature fireplace highlighted by decorative tiling.

The fitted kitchen has a light coloured wood finish, a tiled floor, a four ring gas hob with oven and an extractor hood.

Beyond the kitchen, and leading to the back garden, is a handy separate utility room for laundry appliances.

This is almost like a little conservatory and with plenty of windows I imagine it could also easily make a nice room for growing plants or herbs.

Going upstairs, two of the three bedrooms are decent sized doubles, one at the front of the property and the other the back, and the third is a small single. It is big enough for a bed but would also lend itself to being used as an office or nursery.

The family bathroom has a shower over the P-shaped bath, tiled walls and a modern three piece suite.

There is a combi boiler in a closet on the landing and it is from there that you can also get access to the loft which is boarded.

All the carpets upstairs look new and the general state of finish throughout the property is good.

C ertainly anyone could move in tomorrow without having to worry about doing any remedial work first.

Outside, the driveway provides off-road parking and there is a brick garage with a side access door as well as the up-and-over opening for a car.

The lawn is L-shaped and wraps around the house so you can imagine that it is quite big and would make a safe place for children to play.

There is a raised patio with a metal balustrade and a flagged area at the rear.

Rob, pictured, says: "Chesterton is a good residential area, with good schools and road links to many of the key centres popular with tenants such as Keele or the hospitals and this house is ideally placed to take advantage of that.

"It has been rented before, at £575 pcm, so it could be a sound investment.

"Of course, it is also ideal as a ready made family home, in a good state of repair and has had some recent improvements such as the new carpets.

"Sitting on a corner, it has a bigger than usual plot with off-road parking and a big lawned garden wrapping itself around the house in an L-shape.

"The house has only gone on the market in the past week or so and we expect interest in it to be high.''
