MEMBERS of a dog club are preparing to take part in the world's biggest canine contest.

Dogs and their owners from Benefit Dog Training, which meets in Haughton and Colwich, near Stafford, will be attending DFS Crufts, from March 11 to 14 at the NEC in Birmingham.

"Lots of our dogs and their owners will be attending the show," said Christine Deakin, who runs Benefit with her husband Dave.

"Among the most excited, of course, are our puppies. We have been invited to take eight puppies and two team leaders to demonstrate the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation.

"The puppies will no doubt attract a lot of attention and find plenty of distractions at their first big event, but they have been well trained and we expect them to be beautifully behaved."

Christine and Dave will be at Crufts as Kennel Club Accredited Instructors.
