PUB regulars have raised more than £800 for a community football club.

Patrons at the Britannia Inn, Bradwell, donated £830 to Bradwell Bombers, which runs a Saturday soccer school for primary school children.

Club secretary Keith Finnemore said: "We are grateful to the Britannia for the donation. It will give local children the chance to play football in a safe environment.

"This will enable us to carry on the good work done so far, as the club has achieved FA Chartered Standard."

Bradwell Bombers' soccer school will run for nine weeks, starting on Saturday, February 27, in the sports hall at Wolstanton High School.

Boys and girls in Years One to Three are invited to attend the course, which costs £25 per child. For details, call Andy Salt on 07920 402088.
