TWO children from Stoke-on-Trent received a special Christmas gift last week when they met HRH Prince Charles at Clarence House in London.

Owen Rollason, aged seven, and his sister, Jenny-Lee Taylor, aged 10, from Bucknall, joined four other sick and disabled children in decorating the Royal Christmas tree in the residential home of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

During the two-hour engagement, organised by Stoke-based charity Caudwell Children, the youngsters enjoyed meeting The Prince of Wales as he helped them hang decorations on the Christmas tree.

Due to a bout of the flu, The Duchess of Cornwall was unable to join the party but made a special appearance to wave goodbye and wish the visitors a very Merry Christmas.
