Port Vale vs Fleetwood Town: Vincent poised for comeback
Ashley Vincent could return to the Port Vale squad when the new npower League Two leaders host Fleetwood.
Vincent remained sidelined with the stomach bug that ruled him out of the Boxing Day victory at Rotherham as the Valiants won 3-2 at Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday to replace long-time leaders Gillingham, whose home game against Northampton was postponed, at the division's summit.
The winger was close to making the trip to east London and will continue to be monitored ahead of New Year's Day.
Doug Loft missed out on a return to the club where he had a loan spell in 2009 at the weekend and manager Micky Adams will hope to have his skipper back for the visit of the Cod Army.

Adams has the likes of defender Clayton McDonald, midfielders Robert Taylor, Chris Shuker, Kingsley James and Ryan Lloyd and striker Ben Williamson available should he wish to freshen up his team.
Alex Titchiner will hope to keep his place in the Fleetwood attack.
Titchiner replaced Steven Gillespie at half-time during the Boxing Day win over Morecambe and was handed a first senior start in Saturday's goalless draw with York.
When Gillespie was introduced from the bench against the Minstermen it was in favour of David Ball - Town's matchwinner against the Shrimps.
Midfielder Barry Ferguson (groin) and striker Jon Parkin (hamstring) remain sidelined alongside defensive duo Youl Mawene and Anthony Barry, who have resumed light training following respective foot and knee injuries.
The Cod Army remain unbeaten since Alexander's appointment at the start of this month but have drawn three of his four matches at the helm.
