Port Vale: We're eager to learn from new boss, says Haldane
WINGER Lewis Haldane says Vale's players want to learn from new manager Jim Gannon as they try to get their promotion campaign back on track, writes Michael Baggaley.
Gannon has revealed some of his players have been more receptive than others to him since he replaced Micky Adams two games ago.
-

That culminated in a heated dressing room debate after the 2-1 defeat at Crewe on Saturday, but 25-year-old Haldane says the players will respect their new boss.
He said: "He obviously knows his stuff and we have taken that on board and listened to what he has said.
"He has been there, done it and won promotion and is an experienced manager.
"He has only been here for a week-and-a-half, but we all want to listen and do well for him."
Gannon wants to introduce a more patient, passing style.
The new boss says that isn't just a matter of being pleasing on the eye, but will also be more effective as the fourth-placed Valiants try to secure one of the three automatic promotion spots.
Haldane added: "His approach is different to Micky's – there is a lot more about tactics.
"This is similar to Paul Trollope, who I played for at Bristol Rovers where we won promotion.
"We got great results through the way Micky Adams managed and I really enjoyed my time playing under him.
"But he is not here now so we have to listen to what the new manager says."
PROSPECTIVE Port Vale investor Mo Chaudry is hosting a Q&A session for fans on his plans for the club at Baddeley Green Workingmen's Club tonight. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
