Port Vale: Paul Wildes confident for Vale clash
CHAIRMAN Paul Wildes is keeping his fingers crossed in the hope that Port Vale's game against Aldershot can beat the weather.
The Valiants have issued an appeal for early-morning volunteers to help clear the snow forecast to fall overnight.

Paul Wildes is hoping the game against Aldershot will go ahead.
And Wildes remains confident that the pitch can pass an inspection scheduled for 8.30am.
A group of supporters were down at the ground yesterday, helping groundsman Steve Speed to clear Thursday night's downfall.

"They've been really helpful so far, and we need them again tomorrow morning," said Wildes.
"The forecast is for three or four inches of more snow and, if that's the case, we're pretty sure the game will go ahead.
"If there's a foot or more, there might be a problem.
"But as long as the ground doesn't freeze, which shouldn't be the case, then we've got half a chance."
Speed was on SkySports last night, appealing for 50 volunteers to go down to Vale Park at 7.30 in the morning.
"It's a big ground and we might need a lot of people," he said.
"It might take around four hours, depending on how many people we get down here, but we've done it before and we can do it again.
"The Vale fans have been brilliant this season, and the Supporters Club paid for some re-seeding work when we were in administration.
"So I'd ask them to help us again, to come along and give us a push and let's get this game on."
