Port Vale: Vital statistics
League One – April 28, 2007
Brentford 4 (Ide 2, 39, Keith 68 pen, Charles 89)
Port Vale 3 (Rodgers 55, Constantine 59, 83)
LEON Constantine banged in a consolation brace for Vale before boss Martin Foyle revealed his star striker was to leave the club at the end of the 2006/07 season.
Brentford took the lead through Charlie Ide, who found the net with a header.
Ide then notched his second with a looping effort past Anyon before the break.
Luke Rodgers halved the deficit with a free-kick, before Constantine equalised, turning in a rebound from his own volley.
Joe Keith handed the home side the lead again from the penalty spot, but Constantine looked to have salvaged a point for Vale late on, only for Darius Charles to hit Brentford's winner right at the death.

FORM GUIDE
Port Vale: LWLWW
Brentford: WDLLW
WHO WE'D LIKE TO BUY
Charlie MacDonald. The striker has a fine touch, holds up play well and has banged in seven goals this season.
WHO TO BOO?
John Halls. If the full-back plays he's sure to get an unfriendly welcome from the Vale Park faithful having played more than 70 times for bitter rivals Stoke.
MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Andy Haines (Tyne & Wear): His second year on the Football League list and has so far handed out 83 yellow cards, and two reds, in 36 matches.
PROBABLE TEAMS
Port Vale: Anyon, Griffith, Prosser, Collins, McCrory, Dodds, Richman, Howland, Brammer, Edwards, Richards.
Brentford: Hamer, Newton, Bennett, Phillips, Dickson, Williams, Bean, O'Connor, Poole, MacDonald, Elder.
PREDICTION
Vale to continue their fine run under Glover, carving out a hard-earned 2-1 success, with Louis Dodds once again finding the back of the net.
