Port Vale: Valiants go back in time after badge vote
PORT Vale have revealed the final version of the crest to be used on the club's shirts next season.
More than 1,000 Valiants fans voted in favour of reinstating a badge similar to the one worn in the 1950s – and the club has now finalised the details.
It includes amendments suggested by supporters, including the Staffordshire Knot and the club's founding date of 1876.
The slogan 'For all who have gone before' will no longer be included, as originally planned, but will be incorporated within the shirt itself.

Chairman Paul Wildes said: "We have listened to supporters and their suggestions and are pleased with the final crest, which we feel accurately reflects our industrial past in addition to our Staffordshire roots.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the crest on the new shirts next season, which will also reflect the rich history and heritage of our club and Stoke-on-Trent, as well as the opportunity to make the shirt unique.
"I'm sure our supporters will not be disappointed and look forward to revealing details of the kits as soon as we can."
