Port Vale: Tribute tickets could sell fast
ORGANISERS of a tribute evening to former Port Vale player Lewis Haldane are expecting the event to prove popular.
Tickets for the fund-raiser, to be held at the Valiant Suite on Sunday, March 17, went on sale yesterday and around 80 of the 250 available have already been sold.
"It looks as though they'll sell pretty quickly," said Rob MacFarlane, who has helped to arrange the event.
"All of the first-team squad will be there and there'll also be a presentation to Lewis, so it should be a good night.

Popular winger Haldane was forced to retire from football, aged just 27, in October.He broke his leg in two places while playing for Vale at Tranmere in August 2011 and failed to fully recover.
Boss Micky Adams and assistant Mark Grew will take part in a question and answer session at the tribute night, while other entertainment will be provided by youth-team player Ollie Marland, who is also a singer.
Tickets, which include a pie and peas supper, are priced £10 and available from the club shop.
Haldane is already in line for a testimonial at former club Bristol Rovers, where the current side will take on a Rovers 'Legends' XI at the Memorial Ground on May 18.
