(Pope, 37)
GOALKEEPER Chris Neal was the hero of the hour with a superb man-of-the-match display as Vale pulled off an incredible smash-and-grab victory.
Bradford created a string of chances throughout a one-sided game, but Neal made several fine saves to make sure Tom Pope's 37th-minute goal was just enough to secure a precious victory.
Pope seized on a defensive mistake to surge in on goal and slide the ball home.

WHO WE'D LIKE TO BUY
Nahki Wells: The Bermudian striker has hit 14 goals in 24 appearances this term and, at just 22 years old, there's likely to be plenty more to come.
WHO TO BOO
Andrew Davies: He'll be enemy number one tonight because of his connections with that lot down the road, even though he only made one start for Stoke in his four-year stay at the Brit.
MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Darren Drysdale (Lincolnshire): Has issued three reds and 52 yellow cards this season, and was last in charge of the Vale for their 3-0 win against Oxford at the end of last season.
PROBABLE TEAMS
Port Vale: Neal, Yates, McDonald, McCombe, Loft, Myrie-Williams, Morsy, James, Vincent, Williamson, Andrew.
Bradford City: Duke, McHugh, McArdle, Darby, Meredith, Ravenhill, Jones, Thompson, Atkinson, Hanson, Wells.
PREDICTION
THE Valiants surge into the area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with a thumping 3-0 win over the Bantams thanks to two debut goals from Calvin Andrew and a Ryan James strike.
