Port Vale: Pope up for player of year prize
TOM Pope has been nominated for the League Two player of the year prize.
The Port Vale striker, who raced to 27 goals in record time, is one of just three men put forward for the Football League's divisional awards.

He's up against Exeter front man Jamie Cureton and Bradford midfielder Gary Jones.
The winner, to be voted for by league managers, will be announced at a ceremony in London on Sunday night.

There are 17 awards in total, with three-strong shortlists - drawn up based on votes from bosses in the respective divisions - for the Championship, League One, League Two and the young player of the year.
There are other awards including a goal of the year prize, fan of the year, a 'credit to the game' prize, PFA player in the community, community club of the year and unsung hero awards.
