Port Vale: Pope is going nowhere, says Wildes
PORT Vale chairman Paul Wildes has laughed off rumours linking hotshot striker Tom Pope with a £50,000 move to Peterborough.
Pope, who has already scored 27 goals this season, has attracted gossip he could make a move to a higher division during the January transfer window.

But Wildes has this afternoon told The Sentinel that the Valiants' top scorer is staying in Burslem to help the club's League Two title fight.
He said: "There is no truth in speculation that Tom Pope is going to Peterborough, nothing at all.

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has also poured cold water on any talk of Pope moving to London Road.
He posted on Twitter this afternoon: "(There is no chance of Pope heading to Peterborough) as we have not enquired about him at all."
