"It has been a long process but we are delighted to have finally taken over the club and look forward to a long and successful association.
“As I have previously stated, our intention is to develop the club both on and off the field.
"On the pitch we’re continuing to support Micky and the squad as they push for promotion.
"Off the pitch we have made some key appointments to ensure the immediate and ongoing success of the club."
Paul Wildes will become club chairman, Norman Smurthwaite has been named as chief executive, and Mike Aspinall will take up the role of operations director.
Financial director Robin Anderson will take responsibility for finance and IT departments and the club is also planning to appoint a commercial director.
The Valiants take on Bristol Rovers at Vale Park tonight.

“The start of a new era. it's been a long time coming. well done to all the staff and players for your commitment to the club and also the caretakers of the club in the interim .These things are never easy. Now the hard work begins, but things will be made for the better, more quickly with success on the pitch. What we now need to do is to get behind the club and the team and show full support. Vote with your feet and through the turnstiles Back on track, enjoy the ride and feed the POPE.”

“This is it, the day we've all been waiting for! New owners in place, who are already implementing their plans, and Micky poised to swoop to bring in some loanees and finally bolster our squad. What's more, a massive win and defeats for the three other top teams means that we're again on the front foot. Really, what is there to stop us now? The sense of relief is palpable, and it feels brilliant to be a Vale fan!”

“Brilliant news. Congratulations to Messrs Wildes and Smurthwaite for their aquasition, may their stay be long and fruitful: and a big thank-you to Mr. Bob Young, and his colleagues, at Begbies Traynor for their work, and the City Council, without whose financial backing there would not be a Port Vale playing tonight.
The supporters should also give themselves a massive pat on the back, as they've played a big part in the clubs survival. But everyone should give a great vote of thanks to Micky Adams, this man, and his staff, has held this club together over the last twelve months where a lesser man would have given up. Thank-you Micky.
The news was also given out on BBC midland sport, and all three presenters seemed genuinely pleased for the club, and supporters. Then they spoiled it all by talking about stokes massive draw at West Ham, still as they say, "After the Lord Mayor's show, comes the muck cart".
THE FAITH HAS BEEN KEPT.”
