John McCombe set for Port Vale return
JOHN McCombe is set to end his six-week lay-off by returning to action on Tuesday night.
The central defender has not played since picking up a medial knee ligament injury against Fleetwood Town on New Year's Day.
But he's been pencilled in to start Vale's Staffs Senior Cup semi-final at Hednesford Town (7.45pm).
"John has trained for the last three or four days and has looked good," said assistant boss Mark Grew.

"He's worked hard to get back to good shape and he's ready to start building up his match fitness now.
"It would be nice for him to get 90 minutes under his belt, and it wouldn't surprise me if he did, but we'll monitor him throughout the game and see how he goes."
Hednesford are second in Evo-Stik Premier Division.
"They've had a great season in the league and they'll be wanting to take a big scalp," added Grew.
"But we want to win every match we play and as long as we're in the Staffs Senior Cup, we might as well try to win it."
If Vale win, they will have to wait to find out their opponents in the final.
Chasetown's quarter-final against Heath Hayes won't be played until March 7. The winners play Rushall Olympic in the other semi-final.
Tickets for Tuesday's game are priced £6 adults and £4 concessions.
