Port Vale: Ground staff 'doing everything possible' to get Bradford City game on
PORT Vale ground staff are working around the clock to help Saturday's home game against Bradford City beat the weather.
The Vale Park pitch is currently under frost covers which can protect the surface down to minus 4C.

With no undersoil heating, however, staff are relying as much on the weather as their efforts up until Saturday afternoon.
Temperatures in Stoke-on-Trent are expected to drop to minus 4C tonight then rise but not climb above freezing for the rest of the week.

Club spokesman Jo Lumani said: "We are keen to keep the positive momentum going from two great wins and we're doing everything possible to make sure the game is on.
"Not many clubs have undersoil heating at this level but the covers are on and we really hope we can get a game on at Vale Park this weekend."

“Perhaps we can redirect some of the gale of "hot air" we keep getting from the Brit to under the covers.”
