Port Vale: Glover Jnr to miss Exeter clash
by Steve Shaw
STRIKER Danny Glover will miss Vale's League Two clash at Exeter on Saturday after being sent off in yesterday's 2-1 home victory against Rochdale.

Danny Glover is suspended for the Exeter game on January 3
The youngster was dismissed for two bookable offences and received his first yellow card for removing his shirt after scoring Vale's opening goal. His under-shirt revealed a birthday message to his dad, and Vale boss Dean Glover, who turns 45 today.
He received a second yellow card for committing a lunging tackle in the second half.
It was initially thought Glover would serve his one-match suspension against Macclesfield on January 10. However, the rule book states a dismissal means Glover must be suspended for the Valiants' next match, which also means he misses Saturday's trip to St James' Park.

“He was silly to get sent off for this but the few (and only a few) fans that abused him really need to think about why they go to vale.
He made a mistake and will have to pay for it but he played his heart out on Sunday and needs our support. I hope that he learns from this mistake and becomes a better player”
