Port Vale: Fans' views
THE boys will take nothing for granted, but only a spectacular implosion can stop us now.
Victory at Gillingham means we're well ahead of our promotion rivals and I can definitely see us going all the way now.
It was a tremendous result and there was a fantastic following of Vale fans to see it.
I thought it was deserved, with Darren Purse excellent in defence on his debut. Lee Hughes also did well and his goals record speaks for itself.

THE game between first and second saw the best defence in the division take on the best attack.
People were predicting a goalless draw, but there was no chance of that in what was a fantastic advert for League Two.
A frantic opening half-hour saw Vale put on another of their away-day specials.
The arrival of Lee Hughes had a massive impact. He clearly thrives off the grief he gets from opposing fans and I'm glad he's playing for us and not against us.
Every player put a great shift in, with bodies thrown at everything.
They showed the pride and passion we've always wanted, matching the fantastic 716 away supporters' passion for Vale.
With results like these you dare to dream that this is our season and that we will be in the top three come the end of April.

WE started brightly and settled well with an early goal from Pope.
Hughes looked bright and got the last touch off an attempted clearance to make it 2-0, but typical Vale, we allowed the Gills back into the game.
We should have had a penalty when Pope was man-handled and brought down in the box by Fish, but the referee waved away the appeals.
Purse looked like he'd been in the defence all season and it was a solid defensive display from the rest of the back four as well.
Gillingham threw everything at us in the second half, but we held our own and we're back on top of the table.
