Port Vale: Chilvers extends Vale stay
LIAM Chilvers will stay at Port Vale until the end of the season.
The central defender signed an initial loan deal from AFC Telford until January 5.
But boss Micky Adams has revealed the 31-year-old will now remain with the club for the second half of the campaign.
"Liam has signed a contract to the end of the season," said Adams, "and we're happy with that.

"We know what he's capable of doing.
"He's a steady Eddie. There's nothing flashy about his game and he doesn't get many headlines, but we're pleased to get him, particularly with the injury to John McCombe."
Chilvers takes his place in the squad for Saturday's trip to leaders Gillingham, though Adams is refusing to say whether new signings Darren Purse and Lee Hughes will make their debuts.
"I'll consider my options, but the important thing is we have them," he said."We now have good options and can use different styles. We've got a real mixture there, particularly in terms of front play."We can mix it at any given moment against any given team. We'll go with the front lads that on any given day can cause the opposition problems."
