“the only goals lately have been from long shots, Griff might just be the one to marshal the middfield again and get the forwards back on track!

“I'm not a big fan of returnees, but Griff was good for the Vale, and hopefully will plug a gaping hole as a midfield defender in front of essentially a slow centre back pair, leaving Loft and Burge to play further forward and be closer to Pope up front. How many times recently have we seen opposition pass through our midfield and expose the central pair. A change in tactics is needed, Griff will fit in well and the guys know his strengths.

Come on Vale keep the faith and cheer them on to 3 pts tomorrow.”

“As a big Griff supporter I have to say - wouldn't it be easier to start picking Morsey?

Or perhaps Mickey is about to bow to the wisdom of crowds, jettison Jennison and pick a hard central midfield setup for the rest of the season.

    I'd go gay for a Morsey/Griffiths pairing. I would.”
