THE all-conquering Rileys Baize continued their march towards a treble after the opening exchanges in the AFFORD POOL LEAGUE Champions Trophy.

They beat Division Two runners-up Newtown 15-3 to win through to the semi-finals.

Park Inn also moved into the last four by beating Division Two champions Longton Snooker B 13-5.

In the Premier Cup, Abbey Hulton SC crushed Nomads 14-4 and Talbot lost their last remaining chance of a final by going down 10-8 to Pockets.

In the Division One Cup, both Wolstanton SC and Crompos Pool Club moved into the semi-finals, while Signalman beat Baddeley Green WMC 11-7 in the Division Two competition.

SEMI-FINAL LINE-UPS (November 25)

Champions Trophy: Park Inn v Rileys Baize, New Penny v Rileys.

Premier Division Cup: Pockets v Trent Tavern, Rileys Duke v Abbey Hulton.

Division One Cup: Red Lion v Wolstanton, Locomotive v Crompos Pool Club.

Division Two Cup: Corner Pin v Longton Snooker A, Signalman v Ashwood.

THE long-awaited Single Merits Final takes place next week, with holder Darren Lightfoot up against Ade Proctor.

Also on the agenda for next week is the Doubles Merits final with Ryan Cope and Liam White against John Clowes and Danny Lynch.

The action starts at 8pm at Rileys Hanley.
