RICARDO Fuller was questioned by police about his driving licence just 90 minutes before Stoke City's home fixture with West Ham at the weekend.

The Jamaican international was driving to the game when he was pulled over by police within sight of the Britannia Stadium – despite him passing his test last month.

It comes three weeks after the 29-year-old was fined £115 by magistrates for driving without a correct licence.

The striker passed his UK driving test on April 27, after mistakenly believing his Jamaican licence was valid in this country.

He was released without charge.

Manager Tony Pulis said: "It's disappointing to say the least. There were over 27,000 people there on Saturday and yet he seems to have been the only one questioned about his driving licence.

"It has already been well-publicised that Ricardo has re-taken his driving test to meet the law's requirements."

The police have declined to comment on Saturday's events.

Fuller was first arrested on February 25 as he was about to arrive at Stoke City's training ground in Trent Vale.

“Mmmm, I understand that BNP are popular in the Stoke on Trent area. Any connection?
