POLICE are appealing for witnesses following the theft of cable from two different locations.

Officers from Staffordshire Police's Operation Amalgam team were yesterday told about 600ft of cable has been pulled from the ground in Liverpool Road East, Kidsgrove.

The offenders stole the cable between September 1 and September 29. It is believed it was stolen overnight, and a large vehicle was used.

In a separate incident, a large amount of power cable was stolen from a business premises in Victoria Road, Fenton, between last Friday and this Monday.
