Police plea on stolen Werrington property

POLICE are appealing for residents to check outbuildings after suspected stolen property was found.

Officers discovered the property in the Werrington area in the early hours of Monday.

They have recovered a blue and white remote controlled helicopter from near the Windmill pub, in Ash Bank Road, and a red 'monkey' motorbike from the junction of Moorland Avenue and Moorland Close.

Police have seized the property, although the items have not been reported stolen.

Police had been called to James Crescent, just before 2.50am on Monday after reports of two men using a torch to look down residents' driveways and into parked cars. Anyone who believes they own the items should call police on 101, quoting incident number 23 of March 4.
