Police officer bitten by dog
A TEENAGER who admitted having a dog 'dangerously out of control' when it bit a police officer has been conditionally discharged for two years.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard yesterday that Nathan Foreman was in charge of the dog which bit the officer on March 7 this year.

GUILTY PLEA: Nathan Foreman.
The defendant previously admitted being in charge of a dog, which was dangerously out of control in a public place.
The 18-year-old, of Manor Street, Fenton, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing on the basis he let go of the dog and did not set it on anyone deliberately.
The breed of the animal, which weighed about nine stone, was not detailed in court, but it has since been destroyed.
Judge Robert Trevor-Jones told Foreman: "This was a very unpleasant incident. It is not a case where a community order is required, nor a period in custody."

“A nine stone dog is a massive animal. Looking at the complete wimp (Nathan) who had it proves that there is a serious problem in this country with the dangerous dog act. We need to qualify the owners not the dogs. This pathetic weed should never have been allowed to own a dog that would ultimately dominate him. Rediculous. I'm sorry that the cop got bit and more sorry that the dog paid the ultimate price for having fell into the hands of a complete idiot and weakling. Nathan, next time you look at buying a pet try something more in your size range. A gerbil comes immediatly to mind”

“He looks about ten, a nine stone dog, could have dragged the wimp right off his feet. Bit a policeman, but not set on him, and he wants it know he didn't, anyone smell BS round hear.”
