Police hunt for attacker
POLICE are investigating a street attack which left a woman with serious injuries.
Pensioner Janet Buckley was knocked to the floor and had her handbag stolen after leaving a cash machine near Sainsbury's, in Brooklyn Street, Crewe.

Mrs Buckley, aged 60, from Crewe, has undergone hospital treatment for a broken arm, broken hip and facial bruising.
After the incident, at about 11.40am last Tuesday, the offender ran off along Brooklyn Street, Furnival Street and Nelson Street.
PC Darren Varley said: "This was a callous attack. He left his victim lying in the road, unable to get up.
"We know he was with three other men before the attack.
"They walked from Hope Street, crossed Edleston Road and walked down the alleyway at the side of Sainsbury's before moving into Brooklyn Street. We are asking those men to get in touch with us."
Crewe councillor Derek Bebbington, said: "I hope people with information come forward to help police."
The man is described as white, in his early 20s, of heavy build with a thick-set neck and cropped hair. He was wearing a light grey hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.
