Police close A34 after two-vehicle crash
ONE of Stoke-on-Trent’s busiest roads was closed today after a collision between a car and a motorbike.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the crash in Newcastle Road, Trent Vale, at around 11am today.
The collision happened near the Tesco store.
Firefighters from Newcastle were dispatched to the scene following reports the motorcyclist was trapped following the collision.

A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival it was found there was nobody trapped.
“However we remained at the incident to ensure both vehicles were safe.”
Police closed the road following the crash and redirected traffic.
One casualty was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for further treatment.

“Hope Gary is OK and recovering well. We were the two that arrived on the white Pan European ST 1100. The one you mistook for a Devere. Myself my partner and the other pair on motorbikes left after the incident and both completed the egg run”

“unfortunatly that was my husband who was riding the motorbike, but id like to thank the fellow motor bikers and passer by who stoped at the scean to look after him untill the amberlance etc arrived and also contacting myself, they didnt leave the scean untill my husband was in the amberlance even tho they knew they were goin to be late for the egg run which they were on there way to attend like my self and husband once he had gotten in from work!”
