TWENTY police officers were involved in eight Operation Nemesis raids earlier today.

Staffordshire Police visited eight addresses this morning as part of their continue fight to rid the city's street of drugs.

Addresses in Alberta Street, Dresden; Beeston Road, Sandford Hill; Waterhead Road, Lansbury Grove and Leacroft Road, Longton; plus two addresses in Kinglsey Road, Meir, were all searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

An address in Cemetery View has also been searched in connection with the cultivation of cannabis.

Two men, aged 23 and 33, was given a street warning for being in possession of cannabis.

A 30-year-old woman arrested in Beeston Road has been issued with a caution for being in possession of a Class A drug.

Anyone with information about the supply of drugs is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 44 55 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
