POLICE are appealing for three people who witnessed an assault to come forward.

A man suffered a broken jaw when he was attacked outside Bargain Busters, in Edleston Road, Crewe, at 10.45pm on March 1.

Police say they want to speak to two nurses who came to the victim's aid, and a man in the shop who may have seen the attack.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Unfortunately we do not have the details of these people and urgently want to speak to them, as they may have important information."

A 39-year-old man from Crewe has been charged with assault in connection with the incident.

The witnesses are asked to contact DC Claire Jesson or DC David Oldfield at Crewe CID on 0845 458 0000.
