Police act after pub complaints
TWO pubs could have their licences reviewed after police caught them serving out of hours.
The pubs, one in Stoke and one in Burslem, were targeted by licensing officers as part of the force's ongoing Operation Safer Nights campaign.
And both venues, which have not been named, will now be the subject of legal proceedings, and possibly a premise licence review, as a result of Saturday's checks.
Sergeant Dave Wright, licensing manager for Stoke-on-Trent division, said: "Officers visited the two pubs following complaints from nearby residents about the venues operating beyond their hours, noise and disorder.
"Such complaints will continue to be investigated."
Operation Safer Nights was launched last year to tackle town centre disorder.
