Poetry helps to heal Nick's pain
A WRITER has published his first book.
Nick White has released a collection of poetry about love, faith and illness entitled Compliance is Futile.
After battling with health issues, writing poetry has been a way for him to express himself.
"I've had trouble with depression and mental illness and after leaving St George's in Stafford, the poetry has been a way of healing myself," said Nick.
He added: "I want to encourage people and make them feel better.
"I think people underestimate the power of words to heal, but reading and writing can literally change a person's life."
The 33-year-old Stoke-on-Trent born journalist has attributed the love poems to his wife Jenny Mullins-White.
