Plaques to honour Cliff
AN Antiques Roadshow expert will be unveiling two plaques to commemorate the life of Clarice Cliff on Sunday.
Ceramics expert Will Farmer is set to reveal the plaques located at Clarice's birthplace on Meir Street, Tunstall, and around the corner on Fuller Street where she lived for 22 years.
The event takes place at midday following the unveiling of a nameplate at 10.30am at the Newport Pottery site to mark the location where her designs were made.
Peggy Wilson, a member of the Clarice Cliff collectors club, said: "Clarice Cliff is of huge historical interest in the Stoke-on-Trent area.
