RESIDENTS are being invited to a meeting to help finalise plans for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in a village.

The Reverend Andy March, curate of the Joint Benefice of Werrington and Wetley Rocks, is hosting the meeting at St Philip's Church, in Werrington, on Thursday, May 3, at 7.30pm.

Discussions will take place about the 'Big Jubilee Lunch' event taking place at Clarkson Hall, Bridle Path, in Ash Bank on Sunday, June 3 between 12pm and 3pm.

Visitors will also be able to assess the possibilities of screening the BBC concert at Buckingham Palace on a cinema screen on the following day.
