Peter Coates gives £20k for Spitfire cockpit simulator at Potteries Museum
Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has handed over £20,000 to a campaign to create a Spitfire cockpit simulator.
The businessman visited Hanley’s Potteries Museum and Art Gallery last night and presented the cheque to organisers behind Operation Spitfire.

Designs have already been drawn up for the simulator, which will sit alongside the famous Mark XVI plane at the museum.
It will be built by expert staff at Burslem-based Spitfire specialist Supermarine Aero Engineering and feature authentic controls and instruments from the iconic plane.
