Give A Pet A Home: Bull-mastiff cross Poppy needs your care
IT seems that when one dog leaves, another arrives at Animal Lifeline in Cellarhead. The rescue centre is constantly inundated with unwanted pets, including these three adorable dogs.
Poppy, left, has been at the centre a while but Pat Lawton, who has worked there for more than 30 years, believes she would make someone a lovely pet.
She says: "Poppy is a medium-sized bull-mastiff cross and is probably about two-and-a-half years old. Although she is very good natured I wouldn't want to put her with small children, so I would suggest she went to a family with teenagers. She is the kind of breed that attracts the wrong kind of owner but I'm sure someone would give her a good home because she is an all-round, very loyal, family dog."
Little Ricky, centre, has also been at Animal Lifeline a while, but while Pat wouldn't house him with young children, she does think he is a sociable dog who would suit a family.
She says: "He is a little sweetheart and is probably about three years old now."
Cole, right, is an adorable two-year-old black Labrador cross who would fit into any household. Pat says: "He is just a lovely dog and we can't believe how much he has settled down."
